I always try to make Thanksgiving cards for my American friends.
This is what I have made this year.
I stamped some images from various stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps, Flourishes stamps designed by Marcella Hawley, Gina K designs) and I coloured them with Copic markers. Also the blue/gray background has been coloured with copic markers.
I added some small black dots with a Micron pen.
I wanted to do something for the 30 day color challenge. I was inspired by THIS post.
I didn't use a Starbucks cup but I stamped some images from various stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps, Flourishes stamps designed by Marcella Hawley, Gina K designs) and I coloured them with Copic markers. Also the blue/gray background has been coloured with copic markers.
I added some small black dots with a Micron pen.
I inked a piece of white cardstock with fuchsia ink.
I stenciled gold crackle paste through a Finnabair stencil (Lace).
I embossed Persian motif stamps from Altenew on white vellum with white embossing powder from Wow.
I added some pearls around the stamped images.
I made an ombre background, or my version of ombre ;-) for the new challenge at Simon Says Stamp. Challenge: Ombre - Simon Says Stamp Definition: Ombre is a French word for a color with a shaded tone or varying tones. I coloured the background with Distress Inks. I stamped branches and flowers from Sheena Douglass Stamps (Crafter Companion). The hummingbird is from Kitchen Sink Stamps.
I made a card with Fresh cuts and watercolored anemones stamps from Wplus9.
I used Distress Ink (cracked pistachio) to create a frame for the flowers. I embellished the corners with a swirl stamp stamped with sticky embossing powder, then I applied silver foil over the stamped image.
I created a journal page by smooshing some Lindy's stamp gang magicals on a piece of watercolour paper. Then I stamped some flowers (Sheena Douglass stamps and Verve stamps). The flowers in the lower corner have been embellished with some doodles.
I stamped the sentiment with alphabet stamps and white embossing powder.
I made a new tag with the techniques explained by Tim Holtz for his 12 tags of the month: March.
You can find a tutorial HERE.
For the background I used Distress Paints and I stamped a Kaisercraft stamp. Then I stamped the butterflies from the Kaisercraft stamp on a piece of paper painted with Distress Paints, I cut them out and I applied glossy accents on all the butterflies.
I used a chicken wire stencil with embossing paste and I applied gold embossing powder.
The words have been stamped by using alphabet stamps.
I love green!
I have a card for the new Simon Says Stamp challenge: just a hint of clover.
I made a background with Peerless watercolours, I added dots with a stencil and pigment inks (bohek technique) and I stamped Designs by Ryn stamps with a grey ink.
Then, I stamped feathers with Versamark and I heat embossed them with Silver embossing powder.
I added a sentiment (Flourishes stamps) so I can send this card to a dear friend.
I also added some acrylic gemstones to give more sparkle to the background.
I made another tag for the Simon Says Stamp challenge: add a little texture.
This time, I added texture through a Tim Holtz stencil.
I first applied gold acrylic paint through the stencil, then I applied Wendy Vecchi translucent embossing paste.
The Geisha stamp is from Darkroom doors, The love stamp is from the same set, I mounted it on a fragment from the Tim Holtz ideology line.
The Japanese text on the background is stamped with a Kaisercraft background stamp.
I coloured the background with Distress Stains.
On the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog there is a new challenge: add a little texture.
This card has a lot of texture in my opinion.
I used a background stamp from Penny black, then I added texture with gold embossing powder and a Tim Holtz stamp.
The Geisha stamp is from Darkroom door, while the flowers are from Crafter Companion - Sheena Douglass and the little bird and cage are from Waltzingmouse Stamps.
My new addiction is to create cards with the huge amount of gelli prints I made in the last year or so.
I used a gelli print as a background for my card and I stamped the gelli print with Design by Ryn stamps and Artemio stamps (feather). The sentiment is from Indigoblu.
I heat embossed the stamped images on the background to create more texture.
The new challenge at Simon Says Stamp is to create inky backgrounds, I love creating my own backgrounds with inks and paints.
I made a background with peerless watercolours and I added Designs by Ryn stamps.
I also used some white pigment ink through stencils to give more interest to the background.
I really love how this card turned out!
I used Gold glitter embossing powder to give more texture to the stamped images.
The sentiment is from Indigoblu (UK). I stamped the sentiment on a piece of cardstock coloured with Distress Paints.
