Thanksgiving cards

I always try to make Thanksgiving cards for my American friends.

This is what I have made this year.


 I stamped some images from various stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps, Flourishes stamps designed by Marcella Hawley, Gina K designs) and I coloured them with Copic markers. Also the blue/gray background has been coloured with copic markers.
I added some small black dots with a Micron pen.

Layered lily


For this card I used the Layered Lily stamp set from Altenew.

I stamped the flowers and leaves with Distress Ink, then I spritzed them with water and I let the colours blend and bleed.
Basically, it is a faux watercolour technique.
The sentiments are from Papertrey Ink.

Textured background


I made a background with thick white acrylic paint and a stencil. Then, I left the stencil in place when the paint was still wet and I sprayed it with Distress Stains.

I randomly coloured some white cardstock with acrylic paint. Then I stamped the flowers and embossed them with black embossing powder.

The flowers are Chocolate Baroque stamps.

Art journal with Finnabair stamps

I made the background with Twinkling H2os and salt.
I cut out some circle from cardstock (previously painted with acrylic paints). I embossed the cardstock and I added some metallic wax.

The stamps I used are from Prima Marketing - Finnabair collection.

Autumn-themed journal page

I wanted to do something for the 30 day color challenge. I was inspired by THIS post.
I didn't use a Starbucks cup but I stamped some images from various stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps, Flourishes stamps designed by Marcella Hawley, Gina K designs) and I coloured them with Copic markers. Also the blue/gray background has been coloured with copic markers.
I added some small black dots with a Micron pen.

Watercoloured flowers with distress inks - Altenew Stamps

I wanted to create a watercoloured effect with a multistamping stamp set from Altenew. The stamp set I used is Layered Lilly.

First, I stamped all the layers with Distress Inks, then I sprayed the cardstock with water (fine mist), I let the ink move in order to create a softer and watercoloured effect.

Altenew Challenge - Places from abroad - Windsor

Challenge: Altenew - Places from abroad

I inked a piece of white cardstock with fuchsia ink.
I stenciled gold crackle paste through a Finnabair stencil (Lace).
I embossed Persian motif stamps from Altenew on white vellum with white embossing powder from Wow.
I added some pearls around the stamped images.

I coloured the background with Distress Inks.
I stamped the branches and flowers with Sheena Douglass Stamps (Crafter Companion). The hummingbird is from Flourishes stamps (retired).

Definition: Ombre is a French word for a color with a shaded tone or varying tones.

I coloured the background with Distress Inks.
I stamped branches and flowers from Sheena Douglass Stamps (Crafter Companion). The hummingbird is from Kitchen Sink Stamps.

No designer paper - wplus9 stamps

I made a card with Fresh cuts and watercolored anemones stamps from Wplus9.

I used Distress Ink (cracked pistachio) to create a frame for the flowers. I embellished the corners with a swirl stamp stamped with sticky embossing powder, then I applied silver foil over the stamped image.

Journal page with stamped flowers and zentangle

I created a journal page by smooshing some Lindy's stamp gang magicals on a piece of watercolour paper. Then I stamped some flowers (Sheena Douglass stamps and Verve stamps). The flowers in the lower corner have been embellished with some doodles.



I stamped the sentiment with alphabet stamps and white embossing powder.

I made a background with blue and purple distress inks. Then, I stamped and embossed some Designs by Ryn stamps.
I was inspired by Miranda, a DT member of Designs by Ryn.

The butterfly in the center is from Sheena Douglass Stamps, the cardstock was inked with Dylusions sprays.

Summer crafting in the garden

I decided to do some crafting in the garden and I was inspired by my own garden.

First I made a background with lava paste from Stamperia, I used a Balzer design stencil.

Then, I added some watercoloured flower stamped with Sheena Douglass stamps.
The leaves are die cut from a handmade sheet of paper (with real dried leaves).

The hummingbird is stamped with Kitchen Sink stamps.

I applied a double wood panel and I will put this on the wall in front of my desk.

For this card I used Jofy stamps from Paperartsy, I coloured them with Distress reinkers.

The background has been watercolored, I masked some areas with masking fluid in order to have some white stripes.

Multi-stamping and faux watercolor


I created this card with Kitchen Sink Stamps, I love multi-stamping!
I used Stampin' up and distress inks, I soften the the stamped images with a waterbrush in order to create a watercolour look.


A tag with Finnabair's stamps


I made a card with my new Finnabair stamps.
I created the purple background by misting a piece of smooth watercolour paper with water. Then, I sprinkled mica powders and I added more water to spread the colours.

I used embossing powder to give a metal effect to the stamped embellishments.

Favourite technique: multi stamping + adding texture

A new challenge: favourite product or technique at Simon Says Stamp

I created two art journal pages with Vintage roses stamps from Altenew, Avery Elle stamps and Wplus9 stamps.

I stamped the roses with Distress inks and softned the flowers and leaves with a waterbrush in order to achieve a watercoloured look.

On the second page I created a background with Distress stains, I stamped some solid flowers and leaves and I added texture and depth with watercolour pencils.

A mini canvas with glass beads paste and gesso


The challenge at Simon Says Stamp is to use pastes to add texture.

I made a mixed media canvas by using various embellishments, glass beads paste and gesso.

Glazed background

I love creating backgrounds for my paper projects and the new Simon Says Stamp challenge (make your own background) is perfect for me.
I made a tile with grunge paste, distress inks and embossing powder.

The flowers and the leaves are from Sheena Douglass - Crafter's Companion.
I created the background for the flowers with shaving foam and Memento reinkers.

I made a couple cards with my favourite Altenew stamps (Painted flowers).

I used dye inks (various brands) and I added some embossed swirls (I used Wow silver embossing powder) to add some more texture to the card.
The sentiment is from Flourishes (retired).

A new tag of the month

I made a new tag with the techniques explained by Tim Holtz for his 12 tags of the month: March.
You can find a tutorial HERE.


For the background I used Distress Paints and I stamped a Kaisercraft stamp. Then I stamped the butterflies from the Kaisercraft stamp on a piece of paper painted with Distress Paints, I cut them out and I applied glossy accents on all the butterflies.

I used a chicken wire stencil with embossing paste and I applied gold embossing powder.

The words have been stamped by using alphabet stamps.

I challenged myself to alter a gelli print with Designs by Ryn stamps , embossing powders and a big butterfly stamp (Sheena Douglass- Crafter's Companion) as a focal point.
The butterfly is coloured with Luminarte Primary elements (pigment+mica),

Challenge: just a hint of clover

I love green!
I have a card for the new Simon Says Stamp challenge: just a hint of clover.
I made a background with Peerless watercolours, I added dots with a stencil and pigment inks (bohek technique) and I stamped Designs by Ryn stamps with a grey ink.
Then, I stamped feathers with Versamark and I heat embossed them with Silver embossing powder.

I added a sentiment (Flourishes stamps) so I can send this card to a dear friend.
I also added some acrylic gemstones to give more sparkle to the background.

Faux watercolour card

No rules for the new challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I made a card using the faux watercolour technique I learned from a watercolour online class I took some time ago from Online card classes.

I used Kitchen Sink Stamps (multi-stamping) and Stampin Up inks. Then, I used a waterbrush to soften the edges to give a watercoloured look.


I added stickles to the centre of the flowers and I heat embossed a sentiment.

I added a lot of texture with molding paste, mica fragments and paints.
I think this is a good page for the current Simon Says Stamp challenge: add a little texture.

Geisha tag with translucent embossing paste

I made another tag for the Simon Says Stamp challenge: add a little texture.
This time, I added texture through a Tim Holtz stencil.
I first applied gold acrylic paint through the stencil, then I applied Wendy Vecchi translucent embossing paste.

The Geisha stamp is from Darkroom doors, The love stamp is from the same set, I mounted it on a fragment from the Tim Holtz ideology line.
The Japanese text on the background is stamped with a Kaisercraft background stamp.
I coloured the background with Distress Stains.

On the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog there is a new challenge: add a little texture.
This card has a lot of texture in my opinion.
I used a background stamp from Penny black, then I added texture with gold embossing powder and a Tim Holtz stamp.
The Geisha stamp is from Darkroom door, while the flowers are from Crafter Companion - Sheena Douglass and the little bird and cage are from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

gelli print background

My new addiction is to create cards with the huge amount of gelli prints I made in the last year or so.

I used a gelli print as a background for my card and I stamped the gelli print with Design by Ryn stamps and Artemio stamps (feather). The sentiment is from Indigoblu.
I heat embossed the stamped images on the background to create more texture.

The new challenge at Simon Says Stamp is to create inky backgrounds, I love creating my own backgrounds with inks and paints.

I swiped some white cardstock with some dye inkpads, It gave a grunge look to the cardstock,
Then, I stamped some images to create a collage-style card.
I put glossy accents to some of the images to create more texture.

I made a background with peerless watercolours and I added Designs by Ryn stamps.
I also used some white pigment ink through stencils to give more interest to the background.
I really love how this card turned out!
I used Gold glitter embossing powder to give more texture to the stamped images.
